Learn how to create intriguing manga characters from simple pencil sketches to more complex ink and brush-pen illustrations. In this class you will learn how to design compelling Japanese-inspired manga characters from scratch and how to give them their unique style. Bring your character to life by giving them a personality and creating professional character sheets. Your tutor, an experienced animation and anime lecturer, will show you how to draw the facial features of your character and how to draw the character’s head in different positions. You will get tips in developing your own style while looking to common and traditional manga styles such as kawaii, shojo, chibi and, moe for inspiration. Furthermore, you will explore different facial expressions and how to give your character a unique hairstyle and clothing. Finally, you can pick your favourite character concept design and finalise your illustration using ink, brush-pen, and colour. Start creating your own manga world and join our fun and engaging class now! This class is designed for Kids and Teens (age 7 to 12 years). Beginners are welcome!
